CVS Caremark works with your choice of carrier to provide you with timely and safe delivery services to meet your needs. Our direct computer link with these providers ensures that CVS Caremark always knows the most current package status. If a delay is anticipated, we will notify you and make other arrangements. Please help us assure timely delivery of your package by reviewing the following information.
Change of Address
Many specialty medications are temperature sensitive. In order to ensure the quality of your medication, it is important to arrange to have a responsible person available to accept your delivery. If this is not possible, please call your CareTeam Representative to make alternate arrangements.
Remote Area Deliveries
Please verify your requested delivery time with your CareTeam Representative at the time you place your order. The time of delivery depends on how close you live to the nearest delivery station. In remote areas, deliveries may not be made until as late as 7:30 p.m. In some areas, delivery may not be available on Saturdays. We are able to make special arrangements for these special areas and circumstances.
Late or Missing Deliveries
If you have not received an expected delivery on the day it is scheduled to arrive and CVS Caremark has not notified you of a delay, please call your designated CVS Caremark Specialty Pharmacy branch. Do not wait until the next day to call us. The sooner we know about a delay, the faster we can respond and assure timely delivery of your order.
Occasionally, you may require an emergency shipment. To meet that need, CVS Caremark has a pharmacist available 24 hours a day, seven days a weeks for emergencies. Please call your designated CVS Caremark Specialty Pharmacy branch at the toll-free phone number listed on your prescription label.
Important: Inform your CareTeam Representative if there is an alternate address, such as a vacation spot, that is more convenient for you.
